Die Staatsanwaltschaft Hildesheim und die Zentrale Kriminalinspektion der Polizeidirektion Göttingen bitten um Ihre Mithilfe! Am 01.01.2012, gegen 23:16 Uhr, soll der gesuchte Walid OMAIRAT zusammen mit einem Mittäter einen 35 Jahre alten Syrer erschossen haben, als dieser mit seinem VW Golf an einer Ampel an der Giesener Straße im niedersächsischen Sarstedt hielt. Der Geschädigte starb noch am Tatort. Während der Mittäter im Laufe des Jahres 2012 festgenommen und rechtskräftig verurteilt wurde, fehlt von OMAIRAT weiterhin jede Spur. Vermutlich hielt er sich zwischenzeitlich im Libanon auf.
