What is an Interpol Blue Notice?
A request to collect additional information about a person of interest in a criminal investigation — identity, location, activities or prior convictions.
Purpose
Used when a country needs investigative help from other police forces — for example to verify an identity, obtain witness statements, or trace a person's movements.
Not a wanted notice
The subject of a Blue Notice is not necessarily wanted for arrest. They may be a witness, suspect or person of interest whose role in an investigation is still being determined.
