What is an Interpol Green Notice?
A warning issued to police worldwide about a person whose criminal activities make them a likely threat to public safety in other countries.
Purpose
Green Notices alert police in other countries about someone — often a repeat offender — who may travel abroad and pose a threat. Typical subjects include sexual offenders, traffickers and known violent criminals.
Not an arrest request
A Green Notice does not require any action beyond being informed. It supports operational awareness, not extradition.
